In our first project we are going to talk about ourselves.

We took some photos and we are doing a very nice project.

En el nostre primer projecte parlarem de nosaltres mateixos. Hem dut fotos de casa i estem elaborant uns projectes molt macos. Avui la nostra auxiliar de conversa, la Rachel, ens ha ajudat.

My town

We are back from the Christmas break and we are working on our new project. It is called "My town" and each group will work on a different spot of Sant Feliu de Codines.

Last Tuesday we went to the most important places in our hometown and we took some photos in order to put them in our projects. We hope that you like them!

 After a few weeks of hard work, the 5th grade students finally showed their oral presentations in front of their classmates. They are really  nice and original, aren't they? They did a very good job!

Després d'estar setmanes treballant durament, els alumnes de 5è finalment van mostrar les seves presentacions orals davant dels companys de classe. Són molt maques i originals, oi que sí? Van fer una gran feina!

Preparing the Oral Presentations

This week the students of the fifth grade took a look at some projects that the Devon students sent us last year. We divided these projects into different topics: Society (Royal Family), Area (Devon and its surroundings), Traditional English Food, Celebrations and Sports. The students read them and they are preparing an oral presentation in order to introduce their topic to the rest of the class.

Aquesta setmana els alumnes de 5è van fer una ullada a alguns projectes que els estudiants de Devon ens van enviar l'any passat. Vam dividir aquests projectes en diferents temes: Societat (incloent la Família Reial), Àrea (Devon i els llocs que l'envolten), Menjar Anglès Tradicional, Celebracions i Esports. Els nens i nenes els van llegir i ara estan preparant una presentació oral per tal de presentar el seu tema davant tota la classe.

Skype Meeting

Today we talked to the students in Devon through Skype. We met our twin school and we asked the students some questions about themselves, about their traditions and their school. We had a great time!

Avui hem parlat amb els alumnes de Devon a través del programa Skype. Hem conegut a la nostra escola agermanada i hem preguntat als alumnes preguntes sobre ells mateixos, les seves tradicions i la seva escola. Ens ho hem passat d'allò més bé!

Hello to all at Immaculat Cor de Maria School!

After visiting your school earlier this year we left feeling really impressed!  You all have a love of learning and your English skills were fantastic!  We were lucky to have great tour guides (students from the school) who showed us around your beautiful town.  So far we have learnt a lot about life in Catalonia and we would like to continue to strengthen our relationship with the continual exchange of language and cultural experiences, in order to benefit the students of both of our schools.   The students and Staff at Blackpool Primary School are looking forward to hearing from you all.

Hola a tots els alumnes de l'escola Immaculat Cor de Maria. 

Després de visitar la vostra escola ara fa un temps, vam marxar ben impressionats! Tots mostreu unes grans ànsies d'aprendre i les vostres habilitats a l'hora d'aprendre anglès eren fantàstiques. Vam ser molt afortunats de tenir grans guies turístics (els estudiants de l'escola) els quals ens van ensenyar el vostre bonic poble. Fins al moment, hem après molt sobre la vida a Catalunya i ens agradaria continuar enfortint la nostra relació amb vosaltres a través del continu intercanvi de llengua i cultura per tal de beneficiar als alumnes, tant de la vostra escola com de la nostra.

Els estudiants i els mestres de Blackpool Primary school tenen moltes ganes de saber de vosaltres.

'About me' Project

Tercer dia: Comencem el projecte "About me"

Avui hem començat el projecte "About me", que consisteix en parlar sobre nosaltres mateixos perquè els alumnes de Devon ens puguin coneixèr una mica més: les nostres aficions, els nostres gustos, el nostre entorn, la nostra família, etc.

Today we started the project "About me". In this project we will talk about ourselves so that the Blackpool students get to know us a little bit better. We will tell them about our hobbies, the things that we like, our background, etc.

Segon dia / Second class

Avui hem conegut els alumnes de Devon a través dels projectes que ens han enviat. Hem estat llegint el que ens han explicat sobre ells i la seva escola i després hem contestat unes preguntes que ells ens feien perquè volien conèixer coses sobre nosaltres: les nostres aficions, la nostra escola, el que ens agrada, etc. I és per això que nosaltres les hem respost i ens hem presentat.

El nostre proper projecte és enviar-los-hi una presentació de nosaltres mateixos que començarem a treballar la setmana vinent. 

Today we met the students of Devon through the projects that they sent us. We read all the things concerning themselves and their school, and after we answered some questions to satisfy their curiosity. We talked about our hobbies, our school, the things that we like, etc. That's why we answered them, and afterwards we introduced ourselves.

Our next project is to send them a presentation about ourselves that we'll start next week.
